She was a native of Independence and a teacher for the Tangipahoa Parish school system. Survivors include one daughter, Angelo C. Karasinski of Ponchatoula; two sons, Walter Craig Karasinski of Baton Rouge, and Allen Scott Karasinski of Ponchatoula; six siters, Idel Crawford of Texas, Mamie Jenkins, Doris Carter and Diane Hollie, all of Ponchatoula, Marie Easterwood Rodriguez of Baltimore and Tracie Cassell of Tennessee; five brothers, John David Williams of Slidell, Virgil, Austin Jr. and Bill Williams, all of Ponchatoula, and Ivy Williams of Denham Springs; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Karasinski; her father, Austin Williams Sr.; and a grand- child. Visitation is tonight from 6 to 10 at Geisler Funeral Home Chapel in Hammond and Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. until the funeral at 10. The Rev. Lorena Wilson and the Rev. Charlie Wilson will conduct the service, and burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, Uneedus. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Daily Star on: 3/15/2004 KARASINSKI, WALTER CRAIG French Settlement - Walter Craig Karasinski, 37, died Saturday, March 13, 2004, as a result of an motorcycle/automobile accident. A native of Ponchatoula, he served in Desert Storm with the U.S. Marines. He is survived by one daughter, Jessica Karasinski of Gonzales; one stepdaughter, Nikita Metrejean of French Settlement; two stepsons, Johnny Metrejean and Joey Simoneaux, both of French Settlement; his fiance, Beverly Mickler of French Settlement; his ex-wife, Michele Karasinski Freeman of French Settlement; one brother, Allen Karasinski of Ponchatoula; and one sister, Angie Karasinski of Ponchatoula. His parents Chester and Betty Williams Karasinski; one son, Joshua Craig Karasinski; his maternal grandparents, Austin and Willie Viola Williams; and his paternal grand- parents, all preceded him in death. Visitation will be Tuesday at Geisler Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 6 to 10 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the funeral at noon.
