She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was born in French Settlement, and resided most of her life in Ponchatoula. She was a resident of the Belle Maison Nursing Home for the past four years. She always took pride in her ability to speak fluent Cajun French. She was a superb seamstress, a great Cajun cook and enjoyed putting jigsaw puzzles together. She was greatly loved and cherished by members of her family and many, many friends. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ponchatoula. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Elwood and Virginia Keller of Ponchatoula; son-in-law, James Yarbrough of San Antonio, TX; five granddaughters, Mrs. Sharon Suggs of Hammond, Mrs. Susan Yates of Wichita Falls, TX, Mrs. Jan Chamberlin of Willow Park, TX, Mrs. Kim DiIulio of Denver and Mrs. Debbie Joiner of Yantis, Texas; grandson, Jimmy Yarbrough of Corpus Christi, TX; 6 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Justile Keller and daughter, Juanita Keller Yarbrough; sisters, Della Poche, Hilma Guichet; brothers, Larry and Norman Vicknair. Friends will be received Sunday, October 5, 2008, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Monday, October 6, 2008 from 8:00 am until 10:00 am at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula. Services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monday, October 6, 2008 at 10:30 am with Fr. John Sims, O.P. officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponchatoula Cemetery. She was born on Thursday, July 3, 1930, in New Orleans, daughter of the late Allen and Emelda Simoneaux Cedotal. Mrs. Keller was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church and was retired from South Central Bell after 29 years of service as an Operator. Surviving are her husband, Elwood Keller; daughter & son-in-law Deborah & Alex Joiner; 2 granddaughters and & their husbands Alyson & David Knebel, and Traci & Chris Jay; 4 great-grandchildren, Daniel & Elyse Knebel and Andrew & Sydney Jay; 2 sisters Betty Parr and Marian Eschete; brother, Everett Cedotal. She is preceded in death by 2 brothers Raymond Cedotal and Allen Cedotal Jr. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Thursday August 4, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 11:00 am, with Fr. Cayet Mangiaracina, O.P. officiating.
