Dora was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at age 86. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Keith C. Kennison Sr.; parents, Bertha Newsom and Roy Lyon Sr.; sister, Billie Wilkinson; brothers, Wallace Lyon and Roy Lyon Jr.; sons, Keith "Bo" Kennison Jr. and Larry Kennison; and daughter, Jacqueline Ann Kennison. She is survived by daughters, Linda Kennison Jones and Iris Sterrit; son, Marshall Kennison and wife Kristy; daughters-in-law, Susie and Reba Kennison; six grand- children and numerous great-grandchildren. Dora was a member of Florida Boulevard Baptist Church in Baton Rouge. We wish to express our thanks for their continued support. "BO" Keith C. "Bo" Kennison Jr., 64, passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at his home in Walker. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was called by God into the ministry in 1966. He attended Louisiana Baptist College in Alexandria and recently pastored Bethel Bible Baptist Church in Mansfield from 1999 until his death. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother and will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation will resume Sunday, Oct. 5, from noon until service at 2 p.m., officiated by Elder Jerry Dodson. Burial will be in Tangipahoa Cemetery in Tangipahoa. He is survived by his wife, Caroline "Susie" Cox Kennison; two sons, Keith C. Kennison III and Kenneth R. He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Kennison; and an infant sister, Jacqueline Ann Kennison. He was 89 and a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge and Denham Springs. He was a veteran of World War II who served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He is survived by his wife, Dora L. Viola F. Kennison, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother, died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011. She was a resident of Denham Springs, a native of Baton Rouge and retired from the East Baton Rouge Parish school system. She loved spending time with her family more than anything. She is survived by a son, Jerry W. Kennison; three grandchildren, Dawn Kennison Bourgeois, Clay Kennison and Carly Kennison; nine great- grandchildren, Loren, Tara, Brandy, William "Andrew," Blaire, Cruiz, Austin, McKenzie and Rylee; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Fenimore Kennison. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaiah and Olivia Farris; husband, William Hyde Kennison; son, William Glynn "Billy" Kennison; and brothers: Percy, Lawrence, Isaiah and Warren Farris. Visitation will be held at Northside Baptist Church, Denham Springs, on Monday, Oct. 31, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Merlin McCon.
