He was 88 and a native of Tickfaw. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, from 10 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by a Trinity Hospice chaplain and the Rev. Dodson. Interment in Denham Springs Memorial Park. Survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Kerstens; a son and daughter-in-law, Wesley Lee and Ellen Provost Kerstens, Denham Springs; three stepsons, Mike, Ernie and David; and seven grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Miley Kerstens; two brothers, J.C. Kerstens and Gibson Kerstens; a sister, Vashti Kerstens Jones; and a son, James Denver Kerstens. ***************************************************************************
