She was 84. Ella is survived by two daughters, Karen Peter, Tickfaw and Joanne Morrow, Colorado Springs, Colorado; two sons, John Kiefer, Springfield and George Kiefer, Youngstown, Ohio; eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind two sisters and two brothers, Shirley Theiring, Booneville, Indiana; Wanda Durbin,Chandler, Indiana; Bill Murphy, Aurora, Colorado and Ed Murphy of Ventura, California.Preceding her in death were her husband, Charles Kiefer; sister, Sue Whitehouse and brother, Roy Brown. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, west of Hammond on Sunday, June 22nd at 7:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. Rev. Leon Dunn will officiate the funeral services. She is survived by her husband, John Kiefer of Springfield; one son, Frank Rexilus of Springfield; one daughter, Christine Stuart of Bassfield, Miss.; two grandchildren; one brother, Jack DeDeyne of Huron, S.D.; and one sister, Sharon Burdick of Grand Marsh, Wis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albertus and Annette Stewart DeDeyne.
