His gentle heart and sense of humor will be deeply missed. Ron was born on March 3, 1933 in Springfield, Louisiana. Ron served in the United States Marine Corps with the Air Wing Division during the Korean conflict. He was a graduate of Ponchatoula High School and L.S.U. Ron worked at his beloved L.S.U. as an engineer for many years and spent over a decade working in the aero-space industry, retiring from Lockheed Martin in January, 2000. Ron is survived by his wife of 60 years, Yvonne Stevens Kimball; daughters, Pam Kimball of Chelsea, Alabama and Lynn Kimball Underwood of Hammond, Louisiana; son, Brian Kimball and wife Toni of Walker, Louisiana; granddaughter, Brittaney Kimball of Walker, Louisiana; grandson, Taylor Underwood of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and sister, Sandra Broussard of Springfield, Louisiana. He is also survived by loyal and faithful canine companions, Dakota and Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Frederick and Myrtle Anderson Kimball, paternal grandparents, Louis Rownd and Elizabeth Sibley Kimball, and maternal grandparents, Milton and Mae Richardson Anderson. The family would like to thank all the doctors who medically supported Ron, especially Dr. Steve Gaudin, and the nurses and staff of North Oaks Hospital, Post Acute Specialty Hospital, and Landmark Nursing Center for the many kindnesses and extensive care they gave him. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
