Alnetta Kimble, 90, native of Ponchatoula and resident of Houston, TX, died December 28th at the North Oaks Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of New Orleans until she was evacuated to Houston, TX. She leaves to mourn one daughter, Geraldine Lee, three sons; Joseph (Maude) Kimble, Authur (Katherine) Cline, Andrew Cline, one sister; Martha Wilson,13 grand- children, 18 great-grandchildren, 6 godchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, the late Rev. Horace Johnson and Martha Johnson, two sons Walter Kimble and Ronald Johnson, eight sisters and five brothers. Visitation will take place on Monday at Greenfield Baptist Church from 9 a m until start of funeral services at 11 a m. Rev. She is survived by six sons, James Wright Jr. of Houston, Roosevelt Gillespie of Hammond, Ind.; Jerry Kimble of Hammond; Joseph and Marvin Kimble and Leroy Wright, all of Independence; four daughters, Lillie Williams, Audrey Tillman Kinney, Joann Landor and Sharon Kimble, all of Independence; 43 grandchildren and 29 great-grand- children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harris and Ples Kimble; one son, Donald Ray Wright; one grandson, three sisters and three brothers. Visitation will be today at Baker's Chapel AME Zion Church, Independence, from 5 p.m. until the Rev. James Harrison conducts the funeral at 7:30.
