Tuesday, February 6, for Henry Kimbrough who died Sunday, February 4. He was born August 19, 1890 in Hill County, at an early age he moved to Basque County with his parents and it was here that he spent most of his life. He lived in Hammond from 1941 until 1947, when his wife died and he decided to return to his native Texas. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. R. M. Guichard of Hammond; three sons, Thomas H. of Hammond, Joe B. of Valley Mills, Tex. and Claude F. of Waco, Tex.; seven grandchildren, including Mary Ann and Tommie Kimbrough, Maurice and Jeanette Guichard of Hammond; three sisters and one brother, all residents of Texas. His wife, the former Miss Nara Jaynes, died in 1947. Thomas Hugh Kimbrough, Jr., 62, died on Monday, August 8, 2011 at the Richard Murphy Hospice House in Hammond. Tommy was a native of Hammond and a long-time resident of Loranger. Born May 27, 1949, he graduated from Hammond High School and Southeastern Louisiana University. After college, he went to work for his familyŐs business, Hammond Cabinet Shop until its closing. He most recently worked in cabinet sales for Poole Lumber Company in Covington. He is survived in death by his son, Thomas Hugh Kimbrough III, daughter-in-law Emily, and three grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Brayden, and Kerigan, of Ponchatoula. His two sisters, Mary Ann Correjolles of Hammond and Judy Wolfe of Ponchatoula. As well as, his special companion, Patricia Hockett of Lafayette. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Hugh Kimbrough, Sr. and Mary Gugliuzza Kimbrough of Hammond. A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on Saturday, August 13, 2011 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church of PonchatoulaŐs Fellowship Hall, with a memorial to begin at noon. In lieu of flowers, please make a charitable donation to the Richard Murphy Hospice Foundation of Hammond in his honor. Thomas Hugh Kimbrough, Sr., 89, a retired cabinetmaker and former owner of Hammond Cabinet Shop, passed away at his residence on Sunday, October 11, 2009. He was born on December 1, 1919 in Valley Mills, Texas. He was a resident of Hammond for 75 years. He was a member and recipient of the Woodmen of the World award, a board member of the Golden Age Club, and the Tangipahoa Parish Council on Aging where he received the 1996 Senior of the Year award. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the World War II, participating in the North African and Italian Campaigns. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann Correjolles and husband "Chip" of Hammond, LA, Judy Lynn Wolfe and husband Al of Ponchatoula, LA, and one son, Thomas Hugh Kimbrough, Jr of Loranger, LA; four grandchildren, Tracy Laiche of Hammond, Kyle and Joshua Wolfe of Ponchatoula, and Tommy Kimbrough of Ponchatoula; 3 great- granddaughters and 2 great-grandsons and his "special" friend, Gilda Posey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; his parents, Nara and Henry Kimbrough; three brothers, Joe, John, and Richard Kimbrough; and one sister, Ruth Guichard. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 14, 2009 from 12 p.m. noon until the funeral at 2:00 p.m. at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond with Deacon Wallace Gainey officiating.
