KINCHIN, EDDIE WASHINGTON, JR.
Eddie Washington Kinchin Jr., 72 years old of Hammond, La., died Tuesday,
March 14, 2006, at North Oaks Medical Center.  He was born January 9, 1934.
He is a retired Army veteran, who served 20 years in the United States Army
and was directly involved in the Korean and Vietnam War. While in the Army
he was awarded two Army Commendation Medals, a Bronze Star, Air Medal and a
Purple Heart when he was wounded during the Vietnam War.  He graduated from
Southeastern Louisiana University with a bachelor's of arts degree on
December 7, 1982.  He was directly involved with the community and was
president of the Northlake Community Development Corporation from September
2000 through December 2004.  He was an active member of the Veterans of
Foreign Wars (VFW).  Arrangements will be announced at a later date.
Richardson Funeral Home, Hammond, is in charge.
