She was 93 and a native of Brookhaven, Miss. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home chapel, Hammond, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Leslie Gaines and Deacon Ed Foster. Interment in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Survived by a daughter, Carol Anne Kitchens Hellmers, Holden; a son, James A. Kitchens, Sulphur Springs, Texas; two foster daughters, Marilyn Dawson, Pumpkin Center, and Linda Eudy, Hemphill, Texas; two sisters, Geneva McBride, Winter Park, Fla., and Lorene Poole, Baton Rouge; a brother, James Bigner, Winter Park; five grandchildren, Jeff Kitchens, Richard Hellmers, Ginger Henry, Jill Prevost and William Hughes; and three great-grand- children, Joey Henry and Kaitlyn and Savanna Prevost. Preceded in death by her husband, Jack Carroll Kitchens; parents, William "Bill" and Ida Bell Wallace Bigner; a sister, Billie Ruth Cross; and three brothers, Daryl, Wayne and Norman Bigner.
