KLEIN, EDWARD "EDDIE" J., JR. A resident of Independence, died at 11:36 a.m. on Monday, October 21, 2013 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. He was born November 24, 1960 in New Orleans and was 52 years of age. He worked for Coastal Insulation for many years and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and various Homebuilders‰Ûª Associations. He loved fishing. Survived by wife, Patricia Rush Klein, Independence; daughter, Kayla Klein, Hammond; son, Edward J. Klein, III and wife, Mandy, Independence; step daughter, Kristen Saucier Dominick, Ponchatoula; 3 grandchildren, Mason and Madeline Dominick and Angel Howze; 5 sisters, Patricia Boyce, Williams, OR, Darlene Klein, Independence, Katherine Smith, Prairieville, Rosemary Ray, Independence and Lisa Melancon, Bush; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Edward and Rosemary Klein. Visitation at Friendship Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2013. Born Sept. 14, 1929. He is survived by five brothers, Robert and wife Lee, Pipe Creek, Texas; Dennis, Loranger; James and wife Diane, Trenton, Tenn.; Timothy and wife Anna, Pine Grove; Daniel and wife Laur, Portland, Ore.; and two sisters, Juanita Dugar and husband James, Bolivar; and Barbara Klein, Port Allen; and many neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Cecilia, his parents Adolph and Juanita Klein, two brothers A.G. and William, and two sisters Caroline Lee and Joan Klein. At his request, his body has been donated to science. These words depict the life of Ms. Lois Hewitt Klein, age 74 and a native of Loranger, who passed away Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Landmark Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her late husband, A.G. Klein, Jr. after an unfortunate industrial accident, which left Lois, at the age of 29, to care for five small children. Lois was loved and honored by her children and their spouses, Sybil K. and Bruce Shockley, Pumpkin Center; Russel J. and Martha Klein, Ponchatoula, Alan G. and Sharon Klein, Amite. Lois was blessed with seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her surviving sisters are Audrey Stephens, Bossier City, La and Gay H. Kirklin of Bend, Oregon. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Michael S. Klein and David R. Klein; one sister and three brothers, Laverne Hewitt, Aldon ÒSkeatÓ Hewitt, Lawson Hewitt and Amos P. Hewitt, Sr. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, west of Hammond, Sunday, March 16, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with the visitation beginning at 12 noon. Rev.
