JR. New Orleans - Alfred H. "Poppa" Knox Jr., 59, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004, at Methodist Hospital, New Orleans. A native of New Orleans, he was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Army and 14-year Louisiana National Guard veteran having served in Vietnam and Desert Storm. He was a staff sergeant who earned numerous service medals and awards. Survivors include his wife, Mary L. J. Knox; two sons, Alfred H. Knox IV and Regionald L. Knox Sr.; two stepsons, Reginald A. Lee and Elroy A. James; one daughter, Eva James; one stepdaughter, Shannon James; two brothers, John Smith and James McNeil; eight sisters, Carolyn Smith, Cecil Jean Wheeler, Jonquil Johnson, Ellen Price, Vanessa Stamp, Paulette Harris, Pamala Grandison and Linda Smith; and 15 grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. until the funeral at 10 at New Hope Baptist Church, New Orleans. Burial will be in Providence Memorial Park Cemetery. N.A. James Funeral Home, Hammond, is in charge. ******************************************************************************** Obituary published in the Hammond Daily Star on: 6/14/2009 KNOX, KIMBERLY Kimberly Knox, 31, of Hammond, died June 9, 2009 at North Oaks Medical Center. She was an employee of Car Wash Depot in Ponchatoula. She is preceded in death by two brothers-Marlon Termaine Knox and Andre Terrell Knox. She is also the daughter of Maease Knox and Brenda Grant.
