He was a native of Adams Diggins, N.M., a U.S. Navy Air Corps veteran and retired quality engineer section manager for Avondale Shipyard. Survivors include his wife, Rachel Hoover Koger of Ponchatoula; his mother, Zula Mae Brown Koger of Hurley, N.M.; one son, Milton Scott Koger of Metairie; one daughter, Angela Yvonne Koger Way of Ponchatoula; one sister, Dorothy Dean Brown of Sonora, Calif.; one brother, Gary Keith Koger of Silver City, N.M.; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Koger; one sister, W. Joleen Koger Owens; and one grandchild. Visitation will be today at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 6 to 10 p.m. and Friday from 8 until 11:15 a.m. The Rev. Kathleen Crighton and the Rev. Jimmy Wall will conduct the funeral at First Presbyterian Church, Ponchatoula, at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery, Ponchatoula. ***************************************************************************
