Visitation with the family will be held from 10 a.m. until memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Edith A. Carlin. Private inurnment at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survivors include two sisters, Florence Cole of Denton, Texas, and Dorothy Powell of Houston; two brothers, Joe Kracher of Lafayette and Thomas Kracher of Charlotte, N.C.; and her aunt, Dorothy Carlin of Baton Rouge. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph P. and Gertrude Hyde Kracher. A native of Hammond and a former resident of Lafayette, Miss Kracher had been a resident of Grapevine, Texas, for 20 years. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Daily Star on: 3/24/2003 KRACHER, GERTRUDE ANNA HYDE Lafayette - Gertrude Anna Hyde Kracher, 88, died Saturday at Southwest Medical Center. She was a native of Hammond, and was retired from the 19th and 21st Judicial District courts as a court reporter. Survivors include her sister, Dorothy Carlin of Baton Rouge; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her parents, Carl Henry and Ida Wadsworth Hyde, preceded her in death. Visitation will be today from noon until 2 p.m. at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, Baton Rouge. The Rev. David Bassinger will conduct a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Baton Rouge.
