She was 86 and a native of Ponchatoula. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, with a vigil prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation in the funeral home chapel from 8 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m. Saturday, conducted by a Dominican priest. Interment in Ponchatoula Cemetery. Survived by her husband, Ottomar F. "Otto" Krafft, Hammond; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, John T. and a Orga Abribat Mollere; and a brother, Loys A. Mollere. Fritz G. Krafft, 93, and a resident of Ponchatoula, died Saturday, July 12, 2008, at Richard Murphy Hospice House in Hammond. He was born on Saturday, May 8, 1915, in New Orleans, son of the late Frank Krafft and Fanny Baldenhofer Krafft. He was the beloved husband of Virgil McWilliams Krafft. Also survived by sons and daughters-in-law, William and Jane Krafft, of Springfield, Ohio, and John and Sharon Krafft, of Hamilton, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Kaye K. and Tony Sprenzel, of Germany; daughters, Sara K. Mintz, of England, Gretchen Krafft, of Springfield, and Melissa K. Zunis, of Union, Ohio; stepdaughters and stepsons-in-law, Cathy M. and David Parker, of Hammond, and Becky M. and Larry Roberts and Patti M. and Mutty Berner, all of Ponchatoula; daughter-in-law, Jane M. McWilliams, of Hammond; brothers, Otto Krafft, of Hammond, and Emile Krafft, of Tullahoma, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren who affectionately called him "Opa." Preceded in death by his first wife, June Swisher Krafft; and stepson, Joel McWilliams. Mr. Krafft went to Ohio as a young man and worked for Thompson Grinding Co. for many years. In 1966, he started Krafft and Associates Grinding and Lapping Co. in Springfield, which is still in operation. He acquired several patents in his line of work. A friend once remarked that Mr. Fritz was a true gentleman and a gentle man. Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, on Thursday, July 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Service at St Joseph Catholic Church, Ponchatoula, at 11 a.m. Thursday. He was born on Tuesday, January 6, 1914 in New Orleans, Louisiana, son of the late Frank and Fanny Baldenhofer Krafft. He was the beloved husband of Goldie Greig Krafft. He is also survived by brother, Emil E. Krafft of Tullahoma, TN; step-son, Monty Montgomery and 13 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Bertha Mollere Krafft and brother, Fritz Krafft. Friends will be received Wednesday, November 5, 2008, from 8:30 am until 10:30 am at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. Services will be held at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in the Ponchatoula Cemetery.
