She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Guy J. Labate; her parents, Gasper and Rosalie (Junda) Saragusa; eight brothers, Sam, Frank, Tony, Joe, John, Russell, Dominick, and August Saragusa; three sisters, Mary S. Micheli, Tillie S. Micheli, and Lucille S. Musso. She is survived by two daughters, Rosemarie Prescia and husband Joe and Joan Labate; two sisters, Sara S. Roux and Josie S. Burhoe; five grandchildren, Joseph Prescia, Jr and wife Jennifer,Vickie P. Olivia, Dean Caputa and wife Liz, Randy Caputa and wife Wendy, and Dana Jo Caputa; nine great-grandchildren, Whitney, Lucas, Moriah and Callie Rose Prescia, Mallory and Tyler Olivia, Casey Marie and Tara Leigh Caputa, and Sunny Gabriel Rose Caputa. Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond on Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Monday, March 21, 2011 from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Independence on Monday, beginning at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow in the Colonial Cemetery Mausoleum, Independence, LA.
