He was born in Hammond and served in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife, Patricia La Bauve; three daughters, Lynn Spencer and Glenda Gail Smith, both of Baton Rouge, and Tabitha Hope La Bauve of Livingston, Texas; one son, Darrell Bryant La Bauve of Jeanerette; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one brother, Earlo La Bauve; and three sisters, Loretta Roy, Jeanett Rabalais and Gertie Feldman. He was preceded in death by one brother, James H. La Bauve Sr.; and one sister, Anna Alexander. The Rev. Wendle Kee will conduct the funeral Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, Livingston, Texas, and burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Advocate (Baton Rouge): 11/11/2009 LaBAUVE, LOIS NEWMAN A resident of Fluker, she died at 3:48 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 73 and a native of Magnolia, Miss. Visitation at First Baptist Church of Greensburg on Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. until a religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Mark Robinson. Interment in Arcola-Roseland Cemetery, Arcola. Survived by her husband, Earlo LaBauve, Fluker; two daughters, Sharon LaBauve Martin and husband Curt, of Kentwood, and Elaine LaBauve Harrington and husband Ken, of Denham Springs; son, Lawrence E. "Larry" LaBauve Jr. and wife Keri, of Baton Rouge; and three grandchildren, Misty Holder, Denham Springs, Destiny Martin, Kentwood, and Brendon LaBauve, Baton Rouge. Preceded in death by her parents, James Eugene and Annie Williams Newman; three sisters, Helen Yentzen, Winnie Cox and Myrtle Courtney; and brother, John Morris Newman.
