He was born on Thursday, January 22, 1920, in Ramsey, La. Surviving are daughters, Bethany Laborde Cooper Hodges and Cindy L. Manton; sons, Theodore Eugene Laborde and John Armond Laborde; and sisters, Evelyn L. Kinchen and Nel L. Bennett. He is preceded in death by parents, Eugene Laborde and Ernestine Crockett Laborde. Services were private. She was 66 and a native of Independence. Visiting at Lighthouse Baptist Church on Monday, June 21, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the church Tuesday, June 22, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by Johnnie Stewart. Interment in Natalbany Cemetery. Survived by her husband, Theodore "Bucky" Laborde; two daughters, Alisa Laborde Bean and husband Kim Thomas Bean, and Rebekah Ann Laborde; grandchildren, Seth McDonald and wife Sara, Mia Bean, Naomi Stokes and Jacob Stokes; great-grandson, Callum McDonald; and brother, Merrel Cooper and wife Martha Cooper. Preceded in death by her parents, Allie and Dallas Cooper; sister, Roselean Rainey; brother, Ray Cooper; and sister, Myrtis "Inez" McCarroll. She enjoyed being with her family, singing in the church choir, crocheting and many other craft activities. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to cover her funeral expenses.
