Mrs. Ann was a native and resident of Amite. She was a lifelong resident of Amite and was a retired City Clerk. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Amite Fire Department. Also a lifetime member of the St. Helena Catholic Church where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society. Mrs. Ann is survived by a son, Larry Louis LaBruzza; 2 daughters, JoAnn LaBruzza Ellzey and husband, John David Ellzey, Sr. and Connie LaBruzza Quave and husband, William Lloyd ; 5 grandchildren, Paul Michael LaBruzza, John David Ellzey, Jr. and wife, Diana, Jaclyn Ann Quave and special friend, Peyton Rice, Elizabeth Eileen Quave LaGroue and husband, Dougie, Connie Victoria Quave Capdeboscq and husband, Aaron; 4 great- grandchildren;, Wyatt LaGroue, Carter Ellzey, Ruby and Samuel Capdeboscq; numerous nieces and nephews, friends and relatives. Preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Louis Samuel LaBruzza; parents Jack & Josephine Cuti; 3 sisters, Sara Lacuria, Rose Mary Addison & Josephine Cuti. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda LaBruzza-Liuzza; her son-in-law, Kenny Liuzza; three grandchildren, Brett, Brooke, and Faith Liuzza; one sister, Rose T. Sinagra; nieces, Catherine S. Gebbia and Susan S. Galofaro; other family and friends, Sylvia Schiro Brantly and Vincent M. LaBruzza. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda LaBruzza Ridder; her parents, Nick & Mary Calcagno Tuzzolino; her brother, Nick "Sonny" Tuzzolino. Mrs. LaBruzza was a devoted mother to her children and grandchildren and will be deeply missed. Louis S. LaBruzza was born March 5, 1930 and passed away at 4:58 p.m., Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at his residence surrounded by loving family. He was 80, a native of Los Angeles, CA and a resident of Amite. Mr. Louis served our country in the US Army 82nd Airborne Paratrooper Division having made over 150 successful jumps. He was a member of the Independence American Legion Post #0109, and was a lifetime member of the Amite Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the LA State Fireman's Association.
