Rose M. LaBruzzo, 88-years-old of Independence, La., died Thursday, November 23, 2006, in North Oaks Medical Center. Rose was born Friday, November 30, 1917, in Independence. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Jack Candotto and Emily and Anthony Jr. Vaccaro; son, John F. LaBruzza; grandchildren, Jacquelyn, Thomas, Brett, Todd, Deana, Stacie, Kimberly and Jon; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, John Magliolo; sister, Mary Bertone. She was preceded in death by husband, John LaBruzzo; parents, Sam Magliolo and Camella Burregi Magliolo. Also preceded by nine siblings. Friends will be received Saturday, November 25 at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Services will be held at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, Saturday, November 25, 2006, at 1:30 p.m. with Very Rev. Paul A. McDuffie, V.F. officiating. Interment will follow in the Colonial Cemetery Mausoleum, Independence, Louisiana. He was 87. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday. with a vigil prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation at the funeral home from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Wednesday. Religious service at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, Independence, at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Paul McDuffey. Entombment in Colonial Mausoleum. Survived by his wife, Anna M. Muscarello LaBruzzo of Independence; a son, John A LaBruzzo of Pearlington, Miss.; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren; a stepdaughter, Ginger Blackwell of Independence; and a stepson, Michael Muscarello of Independence. Preceded in death by his first wife, Francis Lamonica LaBruzzo; a son, Frank A. LaBruzzo; and a brother, Johnny LaBruzzo.
