Her husband also, and he praises her." Proverbs 31:28. A cosmetologist and resident of Prairieville, she passed away at 2:37 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, in Baton Rouge. She was 51 and a native of Amite. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Monday, Sept. 7, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by Deacon Randy Clement. Interment in Hope Haven Cemetery, Gonzales. Survived by her husband, Walter E. Lafield Jr., of Baton Rouge; mother, Belva Hanna Vicknair, of Gonzales; three daughters and sons-in-law, Cassie and Ronnie Dunham, of Prairieville, Amy and David Silvio, of Central, and Lacy and Samy Cashio, of Prairieville; son, Walter "Doug" Lafield, of Baton Rouge; stepdaughter, Tonia Thoms, of St. Amant; sister, Sharon Simoneaux, of Head of Island; three brothers, Sonny Sellers, of Greensburg, Keith Sellers, of Prairieville, and Kenny Sellers, of Gonzales. Also survived by her heart were her grandchildren, Tyler Dunham, Kristen Dunham, Sidney Dunham, James Cashio and Baby Silvio; stepgrandchild, Tia Thoms; and stepgreat-grandson, Trenity Tate. Preceded in death by her biological father, Norman Sellers; dad, Valmond Vicknair; and stepbrother, Alton LeBourgeois Sr. Pallbearers will be Walter "Doug" Lafield, Keith Sellers, Kenny Sellers, Joshua Sellers, Keith Sellers Jr., Curtis Sellers and Sonny Sellers.
