He was 81, born Saturday, Dec. 20, 1924, in Independence, the son of the late Thomas Lampiasi and Phillippine Dechara Lampiasi. He was a farmer. He is survived by a sister, Lena Morgan of Denham Springs. Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, on Wednesday, Dec. 20, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 8 a.m. until the chapel service at 10 a.m. Interment in Colonial Cemetery, Independence. She was 91. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Religious services at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, Tickfaw, at 10 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. George Reynolds. Interment in Colonial Cemetery. Survived by a son, George Lampiasi, Tickfaw; a daughter, Lena Morgan, Denham Springs; two grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Tom Dechara, Independence; and a sister, Frances Reid, Florida.
