Burial with Military Honors will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Welcome Cemetery in Simpson, LA under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie. Mr. Landrum, age 85, of Bunkie, passed away on Monday, Aug. 20, 2012 at Bayou Vista Community Care Center. He was a US Army veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion. He was a retired school teacher and farmer. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Billie Geraldine Hodge Landrum and sisters, Yvonne "Bugs" Danzy and Earle Temple. Survivors include his wife, Glenda Landrum of Bunkie; a daughter, Lisa L. Henson and husband, Brian, of Brusly; three step- daughters, Susan Points and husband, Jesse, of Texas, Debbie Bubenzer and husband, Kemper, of Bunkie and Carol Schneider and husband, Frank, of Ponchatoula; one step-son, Gray Pettit and wife Rhonda, of Denham Springs; three sisters, Winnie Bennett of Woodworth, Jo Stenson and husband, Don, of Kingman, AZ and Joy Nash of Bunkie; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Visitation will be at the First Baptist Church in Bunkie on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012 from 9 am until service time. Pallbearers will be Jesse Points, Frank Schneider, Kemper Bubenzer, Harvey Bubenzer, Christian Bubenzer and Gray Pettit. Honorary Pallbearers are Tim Ormsby and Marion Townsend. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Geneau of Pike Road, Ala., Bonnie Hutchinson of Springfield; three sons, Johnny Landrum of Albany, Steve Landrum of Ponchatoula, Bill Landrum of Holden; 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; three brothers, James Ainsworth, Jr. and Billy Ainsworth of Taylorsville, and Charles Ainsworh of New Augusta, Miss. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Landrum; parents, Jumon and Elenor Ainsworth; a grandson, Andy Longnion; and a brother, Gerald Ainsworth.
