He was a beloved father, brother, husband, uncle and grandfather. His most special moments were spent with his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and LSU sports. His grandchildren were the highlight of his life and he instilled in each of them his own virtues of love, honesty and respect. His teachings and lessons will live on through his family and friends. He was a graduate of Baton Rouge High School, LSU and the University of Georgia, where he received his Ph.D. in education. He taught at several Baton Rouge schools, including Baton Rouge Junior High and Glen Oaks, and at Baker. He was a professor of education at Southeastern Louisiana University for many years and was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity.
