She was wife of Emmet J. LaRose, mother of the late Terry J. LaRose, and Alan E. LaRose. She is survived by her daughter Lynne LaRose Hotstream and her husband Lionel A. Hotstream, six grandchildren Melissa Paschal, Randy LaRose, Jennifer Hotstream, Shawn Hotstream, Stephen Hotstream and Lionel Torrence Hotstream and eight great grand children Holden and Mason Paschal, Lauren and Andrew Hotstream, Matthew and Olivia Hotstream, and Rowen and Daphnie LaRose, and her loving niece Donna Honors. She was the daughter of the late William C. Torrence and Olivia Ballam Torrence, sister of the late Elton, William, Gordon, and John Torrence and Garnet Torrence Carruth. A native of Ponchatoula and resident of New Orleans for 50 years in the Parish of St. Raphael and Maria Goretti, she was active in the Ponchatrain Garden Club and St. Joseph's People's Program. She had a beautiful and full life filled with family, friends, and good times. The last ten years were lived in Baton Rouge making new friends and enjoying the good health she was blessed with. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) in Metairie Cemetery on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park. Visitation on Wednesday from 9:00 am until service time.
