She was 66. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12. Visiting at the funeral home chapel from 8 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Emmett Garrison. Interment in Collins Cemetery. She is survived by two sons, Gilbert L. Larpenter Jr., Ponchatoula, and Dale Anderson, Salisbury, N.C.; four daughters, Sheila Anderson, Sebring, Paula McLeod, Lake Worth, Fla., Donna Ipock, Greenfield, Ind., and Gail Escobar, Sebring; three sisters, Annette Taylor, Hammond, Linda Lloyd, Springfield, and Patricia Ricks, Roseland; two brothers, Robert and Darrell Raiford, Ponchatoula; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alfred V. Anderson; second husband, Gilbert L. Larpenter; parents, Richard and Juanita Raiford; and a grandson, Aaron McLeod. She was a member of Sebring Church of the Nazarene, Sebring. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Daily Star on: 7/19/2006 LARPENTER, RICHARD Richard Larpenter, 83-years-old of Hammond died Monday, July 17, 2006, in Hammond Nursing Home. He was born September 10, 1922, in Napoleonville, Louisiana, son of the late Gilbert Joseph Larpenter and the late Rosa Marie Fletcher Larpenter. Mr. Larpenter was self-employed as a plumber and served in U.S. Navy during WWII. Surviving are daughter, Mary Lynn Haggerty of Greenfield, NH; four sons, Richard Larpenter of Waterford, MI, Bryan Larpenter of Wilton, NH, Dean Larpenter of Sunappe, NH, Edward Joseph Larpenter of Candia, NH; four sisters, Mary Ruth Drury of Baton Rouge, LA, Elenor Wurst, Texas, Jean Prevost of Bedico, LA, Sue Campbell, California; two brothers, Jimmy Larpenter of Ponchatoula, LA, Jerry Larpenter of Robeline, LA. Also eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, stepmother, Helen Vining Larpenter; sister, Merle Faulk; three brothers, Alvin, Emory, and Gilbert Larpenter.
