He was 77 and a native of New Orleans. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday. Visitation at the funeral home chapel from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m. Saturday. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans. Survived by two sons, Conrad J. Larrieu Jr., Spartanburg, S.C., and David M. PONCHATOULA - Lionel Conrad "Larry" Larrieu Jr., 75, died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000, at his home. He was a native of New Orleans, founder of Taste of Bavaria Bakery and Restaurant, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a charter member of Ponchatoula Lions Club, a member of Gideons' International, a member of the Masonic Order and was involved in numerous community activities. Survivors include his wife, Mary Alice Bordelon Larrieu, Ponchatoula; three daughters, Caryn Schoeffler, Ponchatoula, Julie Larrieu, New Orleans, Stacy Haverkamp, Washington; two brothers, Conrad Larrieu, Ponchatoula, Russell Larrieu, New Orleans; four sisters, Olga Hubsch and Betty Lotz, Ponchatoula, Marilyn Chavanelle, Violet, Audrey Cox, Covington. Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, Thursday from 4 p.m. until the funeral at 6. Dutch Schanzbach will conduct the service. She was born in Bordelonville, LA on July 13, 1931, was a long-time resident of Ponchatoula, LA, and the founder and former owner of Taste of Bavaria Bakery. Surviving are her daughters Caryn Schoeffler and husband Norman of Ponchatoula, Julie Larrieu of New Orleans and Stacy Haverkamp and husband Mathew of Centerville, TN. She is survived by her sister Oma Roques of New Orleans and six grand- children, Nathaniel, Olivia, Hamilton, Hillary and Kaitlin Haverkamp of Centerville, TN and Allyn Schoeffler and her husband Adrian OÕKeefe of San Francisco, CA. She is also survived by many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Lionel Conrad "Larry" Larrieu, her parents, Bascom and Olivia Bordelon and a brother, Bernard Bordelon.
