He was 67, a resident of Ponchatoula and a native of Maynard, Mass. Visitation at First Presbyterian Church, Hammond, from 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, 2001, until religious services at 11 a.m. Interment with full military honors in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va., at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001. Survived by his wife, Jean Newland Larson, Ponchatoula; a son, Michael Charles Larson, New Orleans; three grandchildren, David, Jessica and Katherine Larson, all of New Orleans; and two brothers, Gerald Larson, Newbury, Mass., and Karl Larson, Phoenix. Preceded in death by his parents, Oscar William and Margaret Cecelia Manning Larson; a son, Robert James Larson; two brothers, William and John Larson; and four sisters, Margaret Williams, Elizabeth Aho, Geraldine Mazzeo and Mary McNamara.
