LASHMIT, RAY, III 
Bedico -- Funeral servies for Ray Lashmet III, 51, were at 2 p.m. Thursday,
March 5, from Jesus Name Holiness Church.  Burial was in the church
cemetery under the direction of Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home.  Mr.
Lashmet died Tuesday, March 4, at his home.  He was a native of McComb,
Miss., a painting contractor, and a U.S. Merchant Marine veteran.
Survivors are his wife, Carolyn Windom Lashmet of Bedico; one son, Michael
Lashmet of Hammond; one daughter, Rebekah Lashmet of Bedico; his mother,
Elouise Beatty of Covington; and three brothers, Marion, Glen, and Marshall
Payne, all of New Orleans.
