LASSITER, JOAN
Joan Lassiter, age 90 and a longtime resident of Ponchatoula, passed away 
on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at her residence. She and her late husband, 
Rush Lassiter, owned and operated Rush's Drive-In for many years. Joan was 
also a member of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church in Hammond.
Joan leaves behind her six grandchildren, Deborah Sirisophon, Tammy 
Bagnell, Connie Bickford, Raymond Galatas, Andrew Dix and Robert Donovan, 
along with eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, John Dix; 2nd husband, Rush 
Lassiter; special companion, Eddie Hodges; daughter, Barbara Galatas; son, 
Charles Andrew Dix; thirteen brothers and sisters.  Relatives and friends 
of the family are invited to attend a memorial service from the Jesus 
Christ of Latter Day Saints Church on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 
7:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. Bishop Ron Abel will 
officiate the services.  Condolences and other information are available
