LATIN, EDWARD LEE
Edward Lee Latin, 61, a resident of Independence, died March 20, 2008 at
Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center.  Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 
9 p.m. at Zion Travelers Missionary Baptist Church, Independence. The
funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. followed by burial at the Fleming
Cemetery, Independence.  Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Latin; four
daughters, Barbara Latin, Joyce Gardner and Debra Anderson, all of
Independence, and Sabor Johnson of Albany; five sisters, Joyce Starks,
Queens Village, N.Y., Cathy Saintril of Independence, Ora D. McGee of Las
Vegas, Nevada; Zella Nichols of Amite, and Faith Zachary of Lawtel, La.;
brothers, Jerry Patton, Seaford, Delaware, Leonard Patton of Hammond, James
Latin of Independence, and Johnny Couch of Tickfaw; and his mother, Clara
P. Couch of Independence; and 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Lee Latin; and one aunt,
Mary Gulley; and one uncle Hollis Gulley.  Richardson Funeral Home, Amite,
is in charge.
