LAUMANN, JANE AKES
Mrs. Jane Akes Laumann, 87 years old of Hammond, died Wednesday, October
24, 2007 in Landmark Nursing Center.  She was born on Saturday, July 17,
1920 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, daughter of the late Charles and Sarah
Snograss Johnson.  Surviving are 5 daughters, Martha Hutchinson, Linda
Mire, Joyce Williams, Carolyn Russell, Thressia Messina; 3 sons, David,
Jerry, and Rickey Akes; 23 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; 3
sisters, Mary June, Meryl, and Beryl Johnson; brother, Bill Johnson.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, J.T. Akes; second husband,
Harold Laumann; son, Clifford Akes; brothers and sisters.  Friends will be
received Friday, October 26, 2007 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on
Saturday, October 27, 2007 from 11:00 am until the service begins at 
1:00 pm at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond.  Interment
will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery in Ponchatoula.  Condolences may be
