LAVENDER, DORIAN FRANK 
A retiree from Allied Chemical with 24 years of service, he died Sunday,
Feb. 20, 2005, at Hammond Nursing Home. He was 83, a resident of Albany and
a native of Calvert, Texas. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Visiting was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 
5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22. Visiting at the funeral home chapel from
11 a.m. until religious service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, conducted by
the Rev. Leo Guillot. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. He is survived
by his wife of 58” years, Cloren Garlotte Lavender; three daughters and two
sons-in-law, Sharon M. Lavender Broussard, Judy L. and Jerome Nicholas,
Shreveport, and Corliss L. and Denis Ivanyisky, Albany; a son and
daughter-in-law, Dorian F. Jr. and Meena Lavender, Devon, England; and
seven grandchildren, Chris, Katie and Matthew Paul Ivanyisky, Matthew David
and Joseph Nicholas and Dorian and Emily Spain-Lavender. He was preceded in
death by his parents, Herbert F. Lavender and Lucile Buckley Lavender. In
lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North Oaks Hospice, 15790 Paul
Vega M.D. Drive, Hammond, LA 70403.
