LAVERGNE, GEORGE EDWARD
George Edward Lavergne, 77 years old of Ponchatoula, passed away Sunday, 
April 7, 2013, at North Oaks Medical Center. George was born on Thursday, 
December 19, 1935, in Leonville. Surviving are his daughter & son-in-law, 
Tamela and Pete Dunnhurst; daughters, Tina Traylor and Desiree Lavergne; 
sons & daughters-in-law, Charles and Nathalie Lavergne and George Jr. and 
Sandra Lavergne; also survived by 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Avenaut Lavergne and Clementine 
Stelly Lavergne; and brothers and sisters, Jerry, Elvie, Nita, Doris and 
Eva May. Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in 
Hammond, Thursday, April 11, 2013, from 10:00 am until the funeral service 
at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Rose 
Memorial Park Mausoleum in Hammond.
