W. E. Funeral services for Mrs. W. E. Lawson, 81, who died Tuesday at her residence in New Orleans, were held Thursday from the House of Bultman, with requiem mass at St. Francis of Assisi church. The body was brought to Hammond for interment in Grace Memorial cemetery. A native of New Orleans, Mrs. Lawson moved to Hammond in her early girlhood with her parents. Following their marriage the Lawsons lived in Hammond for several years. >From here they moved to Crowley, being among the pioneer settlers. Since Mr. Lawson's death 13 years ago, Mrs. Lawson spent the greater part of her time at the home of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Frank E. Neelis, in New Orleans. Mrs. Lawson was the sister of Mrs. Natalie N. Chase and the late Mrs. Mollie Oatis, Cora, Frank E., John G, George C., and Louis Neelis; aunt of Harry J. and Frank E.
