He was 85 and a native of Frost. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 9 a.m. until religious services at noon Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Dennis Mitchell. Interment in Hyde Cemetery, Chesbrough. Survived by his wife, Evelyn Stokes Lea, Amite; four sons, Ralph Joseph Lea, DeRidder, Michael G. Lea, Baton Rouge, Jimmy Lea, Amite, and David Lea, Jackson, Miss.; 10 grandchildren, Kelly, Wendy, JoAnn, Nicole, Amy, Michael II, Christopher, Joshua, Benjamin and Quentin Lea; and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Maggie Lea; three brothers and four sisters.
