She was the daughter of Marie and George Bostick, and the sister of George Bostick, Jr. and Roy Bostick, Sr. all who preceded her in death. She was the widow of Roland John LeBlanc, and the mother of three daughters: Janet Wilkinson (Andrews), Karen Hebert, and Linda Baker (Philip). She had eight grandchildren, Lisa, Zoe, and Sara Wilkinson, Jahnava Erickson, John III, and Natalie Hebert, Aaron, and Abi Baker. She was the great grandmother of nine. Ruth was born in New Orleans, but moved to Abita Springs where she spent the majority of her adult life. She spent many hours using her talent as a seamstress for family and friends.
