LECOQ, JESSIE
Baton Rouge - Jessie Lecoq, 77, died Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, at Methodist
Medical Hospital, Houston. She was a native of Lacour. She is survived by
her husband, Alfred Lecoq of Baton Rouge; a daughter, Carrie Armstead of 
Baton Rouge; four sons, Roland Veal and Noland Veal, both of San Diego,
Lawrence Johnson of Baton Rouge, and Donald Lecoq of Amite; three brothers,
Eugene Landry of Milwaukee, and Matthew Johnson and John Johnson of
Rockford, Ill; nine grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her father, Matthew Johnson Sr.; mother, Beatrice J.
Simmons; and two brothers, Joseph and Alfred Johnson. Visitation will be
Thursday at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Baton Rouge, from 
5 until the Rev. Shelton Dixon conducts the funeral at 7 p.m. Dismissal
will be Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Port Hudson National Cemetery,
Port Hudson. MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home, Denham Springs, is in
charge.
