Henry B. Lee, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, from an apparent heart attack. He was 48 and a native of Roseland. He was the son of Betty Jean Seals and Robert D. Lee. Henry was reared from birth by his devoted great-grandparents, Henry and Susie Wilson. Henry attended Amite High School, where he proved to be an outstanding athlete in track and football. He was awarded a four-year scholarship to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He later married his high school sweetheart, Robin Crook, and produced two beautiful daughters. He chose printing as his career field and became highly skilled and excelled in every department. He is survived by two daughters, Cassidy A. Lee and Danielle L. Lee, both of Baton Rouge; and former wife, Robin E. Lee. Preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Henry and Susie Wilson; and sister, Jackie Seals. A memorial service in his honor will be held at Hall's Celebration of Life Center, 9348 Scenic Highway, on Friday, Feb. 13, at 6 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Ronald Sutton. He successfully owned and operated his own Plumbing Company for forty-five years until his death. James "Red" Lee successfully achieved the status of the first Licensed African American plumber in five southeast parishes. James Lee joined the Pride of Hammond Masonic Lodge #39. He later joined the Masonic Lodge "Grand Consistory A.A.S.R.F.M." of Louisiana where he achieved the ranking of 33rd degree. He furthered his community activities by becoming a Commissioned Deputy for the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office and also the Fraternal Order of the Louisiana State Police. James Lee was also the Founder of the Concerned Citizens of Woodhaven, La., and the treasurer of the 105 Committee. Lee Mrs. Leona Elizabeth Lee, widow of Jesse L. Lee, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clinsey Strahan at Wilmer, at 12:45 a.m. Monday, October 22, 1934 at the age of 64 years. She was a daughter of Mr. Arch Vernon, and a life long resident of the Wilmer community. Funeral services were conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Friendship Church, Rev. Wm. Passman, assisted by Rev.
