She was 72 and a native of Gheens. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Wednesday, May 16, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11:30 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Eric Gyan. Interment in Hope Haven Cemetery, Prairieville. Survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Cheryl L. and John Jones, Gonzales, and Susan Keating, Panama City, Fla.; three sons, Floyd P. Legendre Jr., Reserve, and David and Brian Legendre, both of Independence; brother, Daniel Sanchez, Franklinton; eight grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. Preceded in death by her father, Emile Plaisance and mother, Louise Mary Hartman Sanchez; and brother, Autry Plaisance. Religious services at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Richard Archer, O.P. Interment in Wadesboro Cemetery. Survived by a sister, Agnes Elizabeth Anderson, Ponchatoula; nieces and nephews.
