LEGENDRE, LOIS PLAISANCE
A retired Eastern Airlines ticket agent and a resident of Independence for
11 years, she died Sunday, May 13, 2007, in Covington. She was 72 and a
native of Gheens. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Wednesday,
May 16, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11:30 a.m., conducted by the
Rev. Eric Gyan. Interment in Hope Haven Cemetery, Prairieville. Survived by
two daughters and a son-in-law, Cheryl L. and John Jones, Gonzales, and
Susan Keating, Panama City, Fla.; three sons, Floyd P. Legendre Jr.,
Reserve, and David and Brian Legendre, both of Independence; brother,
Daniel Sanchez, Franklinton; eight grandchildren and six great-
grandchildren. Preceded in death by her father, Emile Plaisance and mother,
Louise Mary Hartman Sanchez; and brother, Autry Plaisance. She was a
devoted mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.

LEGENDRE, LUCILLE BRAUD
A resident and native of Ponchatoula, she died Thursday, Aug. 14, 1997, at
St. Tammany Hospital. She was 87. Visiting was at Harry McKneely & Son
Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, with vigil prayer
services at 7 p.m. Visiting at the funeral home 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
Saturday. Religious services at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10 a.m.
Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Richard Archer, O.P. Interment in Wadesboro
Cemetery. Survived by a sister, Agnes Elizabeth Anderson, Ponchatoula;
nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, Leroy Legendre; parents,
Edmond and Julie Cambre Braud; a sister, Mildred Temple; and four brothers,
Edmond Braud Jr., Adolph Braud, Claiborne Braud and Curtis Braud.
