As quietly as she had come, she has gone. She died at 6:50 a.m. Sunday, March 26, 2006, at Ollie Steele Burden Manor, Essen Lane. She was a native of New Roads and a resident of Baton Rouge since 1940. She was a parishioner, contributor and member of St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church since 1944 and an active member of the Rosary Altar Society prior to her illness and a school volunteer from 1951-1968. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Tuesday, March 28, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Gerard Majella Church at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Sammy Maranto, celebrant. Interment at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by two daughters, Jacque A. Boudreaux of Metairie and Catherine Lenhart Schober of Baton Rouge; son-in-law, David Boudreaux of Metairie; four grandchildren, R. Blaine Carruth of Ponchatoula, Karynn C. Kelly of Madison, Miss., and Wade D. Carruth and Alexandra M. Schober, both of Baton Rouge; two great- grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Lena Guerin of New Roads; a brother, Roy Johnson of French Settlement; and very dear friend, Ory A. Durand Sr. of Kingwood, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Henry J. Lenhart Jr.; parents, Marie Decuir Samson and J. Therance Samson Sr.; sister, Elise M. Brown; brother, J.T. "Jay" Samson Jr.; son-in-law, Dr. Howard M. Schober; and numerous aunts and uncles.
