Brandi attended Independence High School and was an avid Red Sox fan. She was on the "Say It Ain't So" Women's Softball Team, which won the 2009 USSSA State Championship. Brandi is survived by her mother and step-father, Kathy Thompson and Bo LeBlanc; father, Mark Lewis and wife Lesia Thompson; her loving children, Jatelynn May, Yance May Jr., infant twins, June and Juliette Lewis-May; her longtime companion, Yance May Sr. She is also survived by her only brother, Pete Giammolva; paternal grandmother, Janice Lewis; maternal grandfather, Calvin P. "Sonny" Thompson Sr., along with many other extended family members. Preceding Brandi in death were her paternal grandfather, Lowell Lewis; maternal grandmother, Beulah Thompson.
