LIGHTNER, HOWARD DANIEL
Howard Daniel Lightner, 78, died on Monday, Sept. 8, 2003, at North Oaks
Medical Center in Hammond. He was a resident of Independence and a native
of Lakewood, Colo.  He is survived by his wife, Lois Puckley Lightner of
Independence; a son, Harry Daniel Lightner of Mission Viejo, Calif.; five
sisters, Lora Lee Salisbury, Sally Ruterbories, Susette, Virginia, Susan
and Elizabeth Lightner; two brothers, Leo Lightner of Hemet, Calif., and
Frank Lightner of Gleneden Beach, Ore.; and one grandson.  He was preceded
in death by his parents, Harry and Sarah Wright Lightner; a sister, Linda
Lightner; two brothers, Paul and Harry Lightner. Cremation was on Tuesday,
Sept. 9, 2003, in Brookhaven, Miss.  Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home is
in charge of arrangements.
