Charles Joseph Locascio Jr., 64 years old of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012, at his residence. He was born on Tuesday, December 23, 1947, in Hammond, son of the late Charles J. Locascio Sr. and the late Martha Sanders Locascio. Surviving are brother & sister-in-law, Robert and Rosa Locascio, brother, Michael Locascio, sister, Paula Locascio, niece, Lisa Locascio. Charles attended Holy Ghost School and was a graduate of Southeastern High School and Southeastern Louisiana College with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. He was an active member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. Charles operated a local foundry in the 1970's working in brass and bronze statue reproductions. He was self employeed most of his life. Charles was a loving brother, proud uncle and true friend. He was a die-hard fan of the LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints. Friends and relatives will be received Thursday, February 16, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Hammond. Visitation will resume on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 8:00 am until funeral service begins. Services will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Hammond, Friday, February 17, 2012 at 11:00 am, with Bro. SANDERS Martha A. Sanders Locascio was born February 18, 1921 in Little Rock, Arkansas and passed away on December 21, 2007 at the age of 86 in Hammond, Louisiana. Prior to moving to Louisiana she worked as a medical secretary at the Army & Navy General Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was a business owner and operator of Locascio Hardware, INC for 35 years. She was former president of Altrusa Club and a member of Natalbany Baptist Church. She is survived by 3 sons, Charles J. Locascio, Jr. of Hammond, Robert N. Locascio and a daughter in law, Rosa Locascio of Hammond, and Michael Locascio of Fort Worth, Texas; a daughter, Paula S. Locascio of Hammond; a granddaughter, Lisa M. Locascio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Locascio, Sr. ; a brother Carey Lee Sanders. He was the owner and operator of Imperial Shoe Store from 1950 until his retirement in 1996. He was a former member of the Hammond Jaycees and a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church. He received a degree in pharmacy from Loyola University and was a licensed pharmacist. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Graziano Locascio; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Virginia and Joseph Michelli; daughter, Mary Ellen Locascio Puma; grandson, Larry David Puma Jr.; sister and brother-in-law, Pauline and Dr. Sam Cali; and brothers-in-law, Ernest Minkus and Frank Michelli.
