LOCKE, RALPH, JR.
A 32 year old commercial fisherman and his 2 year old stepson were drowned
Wednesday in Pass Manchac when the father attempted to rescue the child who
had fallen overboard.  The dead are Russell Ellis, who moved to Manchac
from Texas about three months ago, and his stepson, Ralph Locke, Jr. 
Ellis, with his wife, stepson, and two stepdaughters, Ray Ann, 4, and
Lether, 5, had gone into the Pass on a fishing trip.  Funeral arrangements
were incomplete.
