LOCKERBY, WILLIAM "BILL"
Age 69 and a resident of Ponchatoula, Bill passed away on Saturday, May 
2012 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Bill leaves behind 
his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, Doris Lee Shettles Lockerby; 
children, John Lane Carlton and wife Sybil, Laura Lockerby Bass and husband 
Jon II, Jackie Lockerby Hunt and husband Kevin; daughter-in-law, Cheryl 
Carlton, along with grandchildren, Jackie Sue Carlton, Brandy Carlton, 
Joshua Carlton, Ashley Carlton, Jessica Hatcher, Allen Carlton, Madison 
Hunt, Kerrigan Hunt, Emily Padgett and Elizabeth Padgett; great-
grandchildren, Chance and Crimson Johansen, Tessa and Tanner Carlton. He is 
also survived by his siblings, Kenneth Cooper III and wife Mary, Edna 
Cooper Brink Haynes, Alice Lockerby Marcantel and husband Robert, as well 
as, numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Bill in death were his parents, 
William H. and Laura Louise Cooper Lockerby; son, Jerry Allen Carlton. 
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the religious 
services from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 1190 Hwy 51 N 
Ponchatoula on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 7:00 p.m., with visiting hours 
beginning at 4:00 p.m. Bro. Dennis Ellzey will officiate the services.
