Long Medical Center with 15 years of service, she died at 8:10 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 1999. She was 61, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Kentwood. Visiting at Winnfield Funeral Home, 10 a.m. to noon Friday. Religious services at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Friday, conducted by John Micheal Pinkens. Interment in Southern Memorial Gardens. Survived by husband, Bully London III; father, Jack Bradford Jr.; a daughter, Almeta I. Williams; two sons, Terry D. Williams and Dana S. Bradford; and two daughters-in-law, Tacara and Cynthia Williams, all of Baton Rouge; a sister, Annie Richards; and five grandchildren. Preceded in death by mother, Ireker Bradford; and grandparents, Charsie McClain and Oscar McClain. Pallbearers will be Sidney Davis, David Pinkins, Willie Lawrence, Joe Martin, Kenney Myles, Wilbert Dyer, Joe Shaw, Timmie LeDoux, Terry D. Williams Sr., Terry D. Williams Jr., Dana Bradford, Jack Bradford Sr., Marcell Richards, Taunean Lindsey and Terran Williams. She was a graduate of Capitol High School, where she was captain of the girls basketball team for four years, attended Grambling State University for 2/12 years and a pioneer with Jehovah's Witnesses. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Daily Star on: 2/25/2001 LONDON, IZOLA GILBERT Greensburg - Izola Gilbert London, 85, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001, at St. Helena Parish Hospital. She was a homemaker and native of Greensburg. She was survived by a daughter, Elaine P. Williams; a sister, Earnestine Gilbert Vick; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her four sisters, and a son. Visitation will be at St. Helena Baptist Church in Greensburg today from 5 until 8 p.m. The Rev. Lee Allen Pounds Jr. will conduct the funeral at noon Monday at noon, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
