Erble was born August 1, 1919 to Monroe David and Amanda Clara (Scroggins) Vascocu. She graduated from Flora High School May 29, 1936. She married Eddie Longlois on November 1, 1941. A former resident of Cypress and Flora, she resided in Baton Rouge and French Settlement before moving to Kentwood. She is survived by her daughters, Amanda Clara Darbonne and Mary Lee Smith and husband Bertin Guy; granddaughters, Angela Lynn Goss and husband Ronnie, and Carol Marie Darbonne Nemmo; greatgranddaughters, Keri Francis Nemmo, Gabrielle Alvree and Victoria Lynn Goss; 10 step grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren, Mary Maree and Zyon Ortega; her sister, Marlee Magee, two brothers, Troy and wife Mayo, and Marium Vascocu, sister-in-law, Univee Vascocu, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home, Natchitoches, was Tuesday, June 19, followed by interment at Weaver Cemetery, Flora, La. Erble is predeceased by her husband, Eddie; her daughter, Linda Carol; parents, Monroe and Amanda; son-inlaw, Delree Darbonne; brothers, Ucie and David; sistersin- law, Jewel, Iskar, and Ura; and brother-in-law, Kendall "Fibber" Magee; one nephew and two nieces. Special thanks to Keri Nemmo, Island Enterprises, Jenny, Donna, Samantha and the staff at Lakeshore Hospice for their care of mom. Pallbearers are Ronnie Goss, Faron Darbonne, Nathan Darbonne, Shane Vascocu, Marty Vascocu, Keith Vascocu, Jr. and Darrell Darbonne.
