AMITE - Ann M. Lorio, 70, a native of Kennett, Mo., and resident of Amite, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, at her home. She was a retired office manager for a tour company. Survivors include her husband, Harold P. Lorio of Amite, a daughter, Carey Vardell Skaggs of Fredericksburg, Va.; a son, Steven Brand of St. Louis; two stepdaughters, Dana Victor Lorio and Karen Elaine Lorio Hansen, both of Waller, Texas; a brother, John Vardell of Kennett; and five grandchildren. A son, Larry Brand, preceded her in death. The memorial service will be held at a later date. Tantillo, Shawn G. Maxwell and Margaret G. "Marty" Nagem and fiancé Anthony Alack, sister of Marie C. Borde and John A. "Bub" Carlisle Jr. and the late Lois C. and Robert Applewhite, Wilena C. and Edward Wascom, Donna C. and Eddie Warren Richardson, Ramona L. Carlisle and Ethel E. Carlisle, daughter of the late Ida Billings Carlisle and John A. Carlisle Sr., grandmother of Rachael A. and Jessica E. Eisworth, Taylor E. McAndrew, Charles A. "Cal" Jr., Jade A., Hailey E. Hall, William P. Cruise, Dixie A. Maxwell, Colby T. Nagem, Neal and Joel Alack, Jared and Theresa Knox, great-grandmother of Preston T. Bergeron, Vivian L. and Adriana A. Hall, Baylor and Elijah Knox, and many nieces and nephews, lifelong friends, Jennifer, Dustin and Grace Tallo. Sylvia will be greatly missed by all who came in contact with her.
