LOUIS, ETHEL MARTIN
A retired domestic worker and a resident of New Roads, she died at 
7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at her home. She was 91 and a native of 
Independence. Visiting at St. Augustine Catholic Church on Monday, Feb. 13, 
from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. 
Lowell Case, SST. Interment in the church mausoleum. She leaves to cherish 
her memories her children, Emelda Munson, Barbara Myer and husband Norman, 
Wanda Collins and husband Charles, Emily Louis, James Gerard Louis, Carl 
Ray Louis, Denise Louis Williams, Mary Veronica Gray and husband Hase, and 
Gloria Louis Joseph; 24 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; three 
godchildren, John Wise, Germaine Dyer and Willie "Bo" McClain; two 
sisters-in-law, Corine Martin and Gertrude Louis; and a host of nieces, 
nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, 
Lawrence Louis Jr.; parents, Octave Martin and Emily Hutcherson Martin; two 
daughters, Sonya Louis and Myrtle DeSormes; two brothers, Manuel Martin and 
Raymond Martin; and two sisters, Lucy Martin Johnson and Mary Martin 
Mackey; Arrangements by and her parents, Octave Martin and Emily Hutcherson 
Martin. A. Wesley Funeral Home, Maringouin.

LOUIS, LOLA
Lola Louis, 53, a native of Macon, Miss., died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, as
the result of a car accident.  Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Louis
of Hammond; two sisters, Betty and Alice Louis, both of Hammond; two
brothers, Charlie Louis of Hammond and Henry Louis of Madisonville; and two
grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother,
John Louis.  Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 9 at Richardson Funeral
Home, Hammond. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at First Bethel
Methodist Church, Hammond. Burial will be in Holly Gardens Cemetery,
Hammond.

LOUIS, THEMELIS
Themelis Louis, 76 years old of Hammond, died Monday, May 30, 2011, at his 
residence.  He was born on Sunday, October 21, 1934, in Nassau, Bahamas.
Surviving are his wife, Judith Webb Louis; daughter, Terrey Scheuermann; 3 
sons, Porter L. Bentley II, James W. Bentley, Anthony G. Miaoulis; 6 
grandchildren, Jordan R. Lavigne, Kelsey A. Scheuermann, Crystal Bentley, 
Porter Bentley III, Zachary Bentley, and Seth Bentley; brother, Harry 
Louis; and numerous nieces and nephews in the Louis family.  He is preceded 
in death by his parents, Mary Dianosis Louis and Louis H. Louis; daughter, 
Mary Miaoulis; and grandson, Themelis Miaoulis.  Friends will be received 
at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, Monday, June 6, 2011, from 
10:30 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel.
